How to Use Double Eyelid Tape for Perfect Eyelids
If you have ever looked in the mirror and wished you had perfect eyelids, don't worry, you are not alone. Many women (and men!) feel self-conscious about their appearance and seek out ways to improve it. For some, that means using double eyelid tape to achieve the desired look. Double eyelid tape is a temporary solution that can be used to create the appearance of larger, more open eyes. It is applied directly to the skin and works by adhering to the upper lash line, which helps to lift the lid and make it appear fuller. The good news is that anyone can use double eyelid tape – all you need is a steady hand and a little bit of practice! Here's how to use double eyelid tape for perfect eyelids: 1. Start with clean, dry skin. If your eyelids are oily, use a cotton swab dipped in astringent or toner to remove any excess oil. This will help ensure that the tape adheres properly. 2. Cut two strips of double eyelid tape for each eye (one for each lid). Each strip should be slightly longer than your lashes so that there is room to adjust if needed. 3. Place one strip on the outer edge of your upper lash line, starting at the inner corner of your eye and working your way outwards. Use your fingers or tweezers to gently press down on the strip until it sticks securely. Repeat with the other strip on the other side of your lash line. You may notice that your eyes look wider immediately! 4 . To blend into your natural lash line even further, apply mascara as usual – this will also help keep the tapes in place throughout the day/night. And voila – perfect eyelids!
The Best Ways to Apply Double Eyelid Tape
There are a lot of different ways to apply double eyelid tape, and the best way for you might depend on the shape and size of your eyes. Here are a few different options to try. If you have small or widely-spaced eyes, applying a strip of tape horizontally across your lid can help give the appearance of bigger, more open eyes. To do this, start with a length of tape that's slightly longer than your eye width. Place the center of the strip at the innermost corner of your eye, then press down lightly and evenly as you smooth it outward. If you have hooded or drooping lids, placing the strip of tape vertically can help lift and open up your eyes. Start by measuring out a strip that's long enough to reach from the outer corner of your eye to just above your crease line. Then place one end at the outer corner of your eye (at about a 45-degree angle) and gently press upward as you smooth it toward the inner corner. For Monolid or deep-set eyes, we recommend cutting two smaller strips of the tape instead of one long one. First, measure out two strips that are each long enough to reach from the outermost part of your iris (the colored part) to just above your crease line. Place them parallel to each other and slightly below where you want Your new crease line to be - they should look like little parentheses framing your iris. Once they're in place, use light pressure to press inward until they adhere completely evenly.
How to Remove Double Eyelid Tape
If you're using double eyelid tape to help hold your eyelids up, here's how to remove it. Start by gently peeling the tape off of one corner of your eye. Slowly work your way around the entire circumference of your eye, being careful not to pull too hard and damage your delicate skin. Once the majority of the tape is removed, use a cotton swab soaked in makeup remover to dislodge any residual adhesive.
